ROLE AND PERMISSIONS¶
This guide provides a comprehensive walkthrough for managing user roles and permissions within your system. Effective user management is essential for maintaining security and organizing user access.
Pre Condition¶
The user should be logged in with valid credentials.
Permissions related to Roles and Permissions
- Can See User Setup Left Menu
- Can See Roles & Permission Left Menu
- Can Create Roles & Permissions
- Can Edit Roles & Permissions
- Can Delete Roles & Permissions
- Can View Roles & Permissions
Accessing "Roles and Permissions" Form¶
Step 1: Click on "User Setup".¶
Step 2: Click on "Role & Permissions".¶
(Located on the left menu)
Step 3: Click on the "Create" button (top right corner).¶
A form will open for entering role details:
Step 4: Fill in the details¶
- Group Name: Type the name of the group in the text box.
- Default Landing Page: Select a display name from the dropdown menu. This determines the page where the created Role will land by default.
- Permission:
- Select individual permissions using the ">" button.
- Use ">>" to move all permissions to the selected list.
- To deselect a specific permission, use the "<" button.
- Click "<<" to clear all selected permissions.
- Reset Password: Click on the button if the user wishes to reset the password.

Step 5: Create or Cancel¶
- Create: Click on "Create" to finalize and create the role.
- Cancel: Click on "Cancel" to abort the process and clear the form.
View or Search Roles and Permissions¶
- Search any particular role: Use the dropdown to select a role and search.
- Clear All Filters: Resets the filter dropdown.
- View Created Roles: Created roles are displayed in a table with action options.

Delete¶
- Click on the Delete Icon to remove the selected role.
Edit¶
- Click on the Edit Icon to modify role details. After making changes, save to update the role.
